So my blog seems to be getting a little dull... never fear I have planned many a new things to entertain you all in the near future. As for now you will just have to put up with my ramblings!
Things that happened this week include:
Class
The RA list came out
The cripple learnt to walk again
The Friday night that didint happen
Shopping Day
I finally met up with Jen again!
So, Class doesnt seem to be worht discussing, just that my 'team' members are stuipidly organised and have already begun reseach on a product that should take about 20 mins to market.
The RA list came out on Firday and we are not pleased. Somehow, a girl who has recently been fired for turning up drunk for work on more than one occasion has been given the position in our flat over both me and the cripple! We dont even know the girl! Pfft!
I also came home and found the cripple waving her arms and walking backwards and forwards in front of the building shouting 'helen I can walk'- as exciting as this was I stil had to carry her crutches back up to the room and hold the door for her whilst she showed off her new independance - oh the irony.
Friday night I was meant to meet the not-so cripple after work. Of course she changed the plan without telling me again and went somewhere else whilst I went home for lack of better options. Turned out she had gone shopping with her co-worker and bought lots of new clothes to celebrate her walking ability. No comment.
When she did arrive home we went to Doriens - as she hadnt eaten of course- some of us had spent two hours at home and had plenty of time...
Saturday the cripple announced she was going away for the weekend- so our plans for shopping and sunday brunch seem to have been forgotten. What it is to be un-crippled and free again ay?
I spent Saturday shopping in Manhattan and then Sunday I went for Brunch with Jen, the long lost- canada-fuelled Jen, who I havent seen for about a month. She told me tales of her escapades with her friends in Montreal and how gay kareoke bars are all the rage it seems.
After brunch in the west village we wandered down to 14th street and then went back to NJ for a chat and tea :)
I bought a new book horah! (i know this is exciting isnt it?) then headed home. Made dinner, decorated a lemon merguine pie that had appeared in my kitchen and then went to bed.
Today on my way to work I noticed as I got to the top of the escalator that the exit had disappeared. They love doing this to us when we are already running late.. There was no sign explaing why or for how long. I had to exit via a new 'temporary' door located on the other side of the street, heading the wrong direction entirely and then spend 20 mins trying to fight my way back to the original exit area in order to get to work. I was 30 mins late thanks to that little genius piece of road construction. Tonight is class. I will put up more interesting stuff soon I promise. :)
