Birthday week!

Hello!

So you are all desperate to find out the birthday week shananigans I can tell!

Monday I had class so I dont need to go into details on that again.

Wednesday was my birthday!
I went to work as always - yay! *cough* I got a nice card from a few of the girls at work and... Adam rang me!!!! (pause for dramatic effect here)
Oh I also got a big vase of flowers from my mum and dad :) Thank you!
After work I met Suba, Jen, and Hannah and went to to Joes Pub where a new NY'er Kristina Tran was playing. (she's along the lines of Corinne Bailey Ray for those who are unsure..)
It was good, at some point Rich C, Raj and Heloise turned up. We all had cocktails and Pasta. Fun night.
After this Raj, Rich and I headed to 'ten degrees' (one of our regular venues) for drinks. I think I got back around 3.30am.

Thursday I had a headache. Not the worst ever. But it did hurt. I put this solely down to lack of sleep not alcohol you understand. I am old now- I am able to hold my drink *cough*
After work Rich D turned up unannounced to check I was alive. He was under the impression I wouldnt have made it into work come hell or high water.. I of course explained otherwise. He seemed stunned. Men! Pft!

Friday I received a note from the nice people at the post office stating that I had to pick up 'a large envelope/package/box' - v. specific I know. I proceeded to google the location of said post office and determine how one reaches aforementioned location. The evening I had every intention of going out and having my second birthday night out - accept that I fell asleep. Grr...

Saturday (which was a beautiful day might I add) I took myself down to Exchange Place to collect my parcel, which turned out to be a birthday card from my Grandad. :) Thankyou!
(oh yes Suba had disappeared again for the weekend)
I wandered around aimlessly in the sun for a while and then headed back to Newport. On my return I spotted Raj. I continued on my mission to Starbucks for tea and then called her to confirm her whereabouts and make plans for the evening.
I met Raj, Jen, Paddy, Justine, Chris, and Banico in Doriens for a few drinks then headed to Hoboken for further drink-fuelled events. Twas a good night. Met Chris for the first time even though we have all been here nearly 8 months now..lol. He thought I was Irish grr...

Sunday I woke up late so hit the mall around 2pm. Did some shopping, and bumped into Mark ( the scottish guy who lives with Rich D) and his gf (who was visiting for the weekend) - conveniently just as I was about to start chatting to them Mayur called me to arrange dinner -its a hard life I know. It seems Hima dn Mayur had decided on account of them missing my 1st b-day celebration - due to their unforseen double class- that they would take me for dinner tonight instead.
Seeing as I hadnt eaten anything and Suba had disappeared this seemed like a viable option for the evenings events.
When I returned home to change Suba had appeared again so I took her with me.
Turns out in fact that dinner was with Hiten, Blair, Hima, Mayur, Basil, Suba and me so this can now officially be named the birthday meal #2 (on account of the relevant no. of participants.
The food was great! Mayur found this great little vegetarian indian place nr. midtown with a set menu and more food than you could ever eat - altho Basil attempted to prove otherwise.
Three courses, all types of chutneys, breads, beans, spices and rice. V. good.
After this nobody could move so we headed home.

Today there is no class Horay!
I do however, have a product fair meeting with my group instead :(
