It seems with all the project chaos and planning for visitors I have forgotten to update you all on my life :)
Never fear...Here is the update!
So, The week after Suba broke her foot...
Not alot happened as I was assisting the broken-foot-ness and therefore unable to live my normal hectic lifestyle lol...
Following this there was class, I had to have a six month review with my boss and at some point there was apple crumble. :)
The review was quite good- they seem to like me (regardless of elevator man/ copy boy incidents and my blogging addiction)
I had to rate myself too which is always amusing.. of course I scored highly on both accounts!
ooh yes, I had my hair cut, had nails done and went shopping as an escape from the cripple and following this made apple crumble with Richard who seems to vent through a form of baking-therapy. He's an odd one.
Anyway, the crumble was good. Of course the cripple had some too which cheered her up no end.
Then I had a tax seminar - I tried to make it interesting what can I say? its tax. Its long and complicated and apparently if I get it wrong I wont be coming back to the US. So maybe I should have paid more attention? I dont know- It just seemed awfully dull..
Then I come to the cleaning war. My apt USED to be clean. This is because I was cleaning it, buying things for it, ensuring I didnt die from some kind of dirt-related infection. However, there comes a point in life when you can no longer be bothered to clean up after everyone else in your apt, so you just go on strike.
For a week, nothing moved. NO dishes were washed, no bins were taken out, nothing was mopped up. It wasn't pretty. Still I think it was time people realised this is what would happen if I didnt clean constantly.
Approx, 8 days after I stopped cleaning, Richard (the R.A. might I add and so-called responsible for the ensuring of cleaning) decided it was time to put the dishwasher on...! (praise be!) Then he sat down again and continued as if his part had been played. oh dear...
About 9 days in someone considered taking out the bins... (by now of course you realise I am spending time at Hima's apt and eating out rather than possibly die of something. Hopefully soon- they will come to terms with the fact magic fairies do not do things in the night.. maybe.
This week I have been preparing for Lucy's arrival at the weekend and I can thus justify my not having anything interesting to say this week as I have been saving money. Next week however will be crazy fun! So please do not get too disheartened :)
ta ta xx
