Project Week

Dear all - people have been demanding this next installment be written quicker so here it is:

Project week began with Presidents day. Therefore I didnt have to go to work! YAY!
However I had the project [que horrifying music] to do.
However take 2, I didnt have a computer and as it was presidents day the libraries were shut. So I couldnt even begin said looming project. HORAY!

Instead I used my time aply and watched TV and made casserole.

Tuesday the dreaded project was back to annoy me. I had to have all my analysis done on tuesday night to hand in straight after work on wednesday. So Tuesday that was what happened. ish.

OK so I hadnt quite finished said work. Wed was class in the evening where the evil tutor announced he wanted the entire finsihed work in by friday. This giving me only one evening to complete it before the deadline. Well... that just wasnt going to happen. I mean, I had to get over the shock of being told my dad had been sporting his classic red checky shirt on TV without my consent!
I received a text saying go online and stream 'questiontime' - normally I would do no such thing, but seeing as this was an odd request at 5.39pm at night I thought I would stop in the internet cafe on the way home and check it out. For those interested its on the BBC website.

Thursday I projected. (verb - to project) I received a nice big box of Brit food from Rob (thank you!) and also my new camera- so all was not lost :)

Friday I didnt hand it in- ah well. It was a snow day! 4" snow appeared overnight and of course muggins here didnt look out her window before going all the way down stairs in her most un-snow-suitable shoes to leave for work. Having arrived 20 mins late for work following the speedy shoe-changing and legging it for the train, I was the first one in the office. I swear I cannot manage to be late enough for the people in my office! I then took around 16 calls from people not coming in. I mean! pfft! As a reward for turning up the partners ordered in pizza for everyone :) Moral of the story - it pays to change ones shoes and turn up!

Saturday I went to the pics with Hima (also suffering project overload) to see Juno. Great film! Cant be explained, you must simply see. Link:

I manage to borrow Mayurs laptop for Saturday night so I could do a bit more of the project (it's more difficult than you realise to hand in stuff on time when you don't own a computer). He let me have it for one evening, however he would need it back to do his project asap the next day HORAH!.... I spent saturday night in deliberating over the mind-boggling principles of information management!

Sunday I gave Mayur his laptop back. Luckily he was unaware of the time (due to his horrible hangover) so I got a bit more done during the morning. In the evening Mayur, Hima and I went to a cool little Reggae concert downtown in 'the knitting factory.' Really cool gig. Small intimate venue, mainly filled with locals. Drinks and Reggae - a nice sunday evening. Three bands played -one from Birmingham and milking the accent a little too much. Main band 'Bedouin Soundclash' were amazing. see link :

You will all know 'When the night feels my song' - even though you dont think that you do- listen to it!

I got back around 2am and went to bed. Was a good night.

Now its monday morning and I have the project to finish.. [sign of dispair] for my one-on-one meeting tonight.
Please note lots of pics will follow just as soon as Hima puts them up!
