Ok I cant remember the last time I wrote anything here - so I'll do my best to catch up on everything.
So, so Monday 7th was my public speaking exam. I say exam- it was a class of ten - you stand up and discuss something of your choice for 5 mins- I call this a chat - but fair enough. I talked about japan for 5 mins , explaining how komono's are uncoomfortable and octopus should only ever be tried once. They seemed to like it- I was commended on my ability to not hang onto the podium for the entire 5 mins... wow technical stuff... and passed it seems. Well that was a difficilt one.
I think Tuesday could have been henry's birthday - in which case ther was beer bong and merriment- but I might be wrong. We went to a bar on lexington, suba, henry, maz and some of henry's friends were there. It was happy hour so as many drinks as you could before 8pm for $10! horay! We moved on to a bar called 'off the waggon' where there was jugs of beer and beer bong - you have pints of beer and a ball, a long table and two teams. You have to throw the ball into the opponents pint so they must drink it- making their aim when it comes to throwing it at yours worse. Its irrelevant anyway as at the end you drink all the remaining pints - but entertaining. :)
Wednesday I met Hima after work and headed to 14th street virgin megastore to see Kate Nash perform a free gig. It was short and sweet but we enjoyed it- I have taken pictures and didnt have to pay for anything! See link:

Thursday I went kickboxing. This was better than previous sessions- perhaps I'm getting used to it? Then again it could just have been an easier session. lol. I mean it was still knackering but I could move freely at the end. yay for progress!
Friday I was meant to go to a stand up night in the west village with suba- but she missed the train home from work so instead Suba, Mayur and I went over to Rich D's place for drinks then back to Mayur's ( where Adam apparently lives too) to watch a film. The film was naff- I didnt pay much attention - we just had a few drinks.
Saturday I woke to find my apt empty of people but full of crap. It seems the indians had had a nice ol' shin-dig before disappearing off to atlantic city for the weekend - nice of them ay? So sat morning I spent cleaning - if only enough to have a space to sit down and a clean cup or two. After that I met up with Adam and mayur who took me for vegetarian indian by 23rd street station. It was v. good - had a whole platter of various things between us. Then we headed back to newport where we found Bugsy ( a film based on the jewish gangster who created las vegas from a dessert - and the subject of adam's speech on monday). I enjoyed this film more than the previous nights film- then went to bed.
Sunday I met up with hima and went to the new bowery museum. This only opened recently and is claimed to be the only museum in the city to specialise solely in contemporary art. It was interesting- altho a little under- explained and many people seemed to have no idea what they art was about. There was a bike with a flat tire parked over a stack of purple bricks... and an archway made of broken chairs. Interesting - but odd.
Following this we walked arounf the west village a little before going for brunch in a cute little cuban cafe called the 'havanna' which was tiny inside - but did really good food.
Then we headed back around 6.30pm.
However upon reaching the lift to my building I met the indian mob who were drunk (of course) and announced they were having a party inmy flat which was my warning apparently that i wouldnt be able to have a quiet night in my own apt afterall. Great!
They arrived with beer put the TV on and then 10 more arrived.- I went to Jens place.
When I got back at 11.30pm there was about 15 of them and they didnt look like they were leaving anytime soon. - I attempted to go to bed. I got to sleep around 3am. Not happy.
I woke up this morning knackered and to find more crap (of course indians never tidy or clean) and Duncan - who is not a member of my flat asleep in the living room. Having climbed over the beer bottles and pizza boxes to get out of my building I tried to make it to work on time - v. tired and annoyed.
Luckily there's only 5 more days with the indians.
