Dont ask me why I have to have two seperate posts....
Tuesday after class went for drinks and really nice Japanese food with Caroline, Hima, Natalie adn Mayar near Times square.
Wednesday after work I spent some time looking around downtown at the shops which for some reason (even though I work there) I've never really done before. As a result, and due to the fact I was just wandering, I managed to confuse myself and spent a good hour or so trying to find the PATH station again to get home. although I did find a university on my travels....
Thursday I was in need of some rest as the weekend was likely to be a big one!
Friday night was Carolines 'official' birthday night out and we all went to a swanky bar in the meatpacking district, so swanky in fact you had to pay to sit down! Thus I spent all night on my feet but the free alcohol helped. lol.
Saturday
I bought a dress for the business awrds dinner I'm going to on Thursday. Ok so it was more than half my weekly money - but is beautiful and will also be my xmas/party/events LBD for the next few months atleast!
The evening was the big Halloween Mountbat fest at Rebel - Somewhere near 30th and 7th. Free entry and 1st drink just for being a Mounmtbat seemed to good to pass up- despit the silly costumes and lack of 'real' culture. lol.
Most people got into the fancy dress thing well. There was a lion, a tin man, and male japanese dorothy.. hundreds of cats, playboy bunnies and of course I was a bumble bee! (see pic below)
All in all it went quite well - I managed to get in even though I forgot my ID, and there were enough randoms there to make it not just a mountbatten fest!
Sunday. I got home from Saturday at around 6am - thus sunday didnt really happen.
Around 2pm I got up. made some phone calls, watched some TV.This was the extent of my day. Dina and I had take-out for dinner (arnt we exciting!) and went to bed.
